PLANNING YOUR PRIVATE TRAVEL TO ISRAEL
When traveling with Roam Travel Company, each and every itinerary is crafted around our clients’ travel wish lists and preferences. With no two trips the same, we reach perfection when it comes to custom travel planning to Israel.
Suggested duration: 10-14 days
Timeless stops: In our eyes, no trip to Israel is complete without time spent in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and in the north of Israel. These regions offer condensed areas of sites, historical and natural. And of course, are a foodie’s paradise! We love to run our itineraries starting in Jerusalem, moving to the north and on to Tel Aviv to allow you to experience the country as history itself unfolded. Very special, personalized activities can be arranged in each of these areas to complement the classic stops. All with unique accommodation, from luxury boutique hotels to kibbutz resorts. And of course, a stop at the Dead Sea for a quick float!
Off-the-beaten path: If you have longer than 10 days to spend in Israel, consider adding a R&R trip to the Negev desert to enjoy the scenery and perhaps a spa treatment. Otherwise, hop on a short flight to Eilat to snorkel or dive in the Red Sea. From Eilat, be sure to give yourself a day to cross into Jordan to visit Petra, the “Rose City”. For shorter trips, perhaps spend a couple nights in an authentic zimmer, a country bed & breakfast with traditional Israeli hospitality. This is a great option for the more spirited traveler, to unwind and enjoy the outdoors while getting to know the locals.
Pairs great with: A quick or no-so-quick trip to Jordan
What to expect: Travel through Israel is done overland, with the exception of an added trip to Eilat. It is typical to have your guide travel with you throughout your trip and, depending on your group size, your guide will likely act as your driver. Therefore, choosing highly qualified guides is essential to your experience. Additionally, trips can be arranged around specific religious denominations or crafted for non-religious travelers as well. We can also tailor the trip to a specific experience, such as a Bar or Bat Mitzvah. From history buffs to adventure seekers, Israel is a destination suited for all.
Israel is a year round destination, but weather is most moderate and enjoyable during spring and fall.
Visa Information: When traveling to Israel, you must have a valid passport for six months beyond the dates of travel and have at least one blank page. Visas are not required for tourism visits lasting less than 90 days. More visa information can be found here.
Health Information: You can find health information about travel to Israel here. For any specific questions, please consult your doctor.
